Well, we’d probably like to forget the theme from Manos, but when I think of that song, I can only think. . .“Forgetting you/is a thing that I cannot do. . . .”

It’s legit awesome.

We can joke about things that didn’t go right here or there with that movie, but “Forgetting You” is something genuinely haunting.

I will stan for “Forgetting You” as an absolute banger. I have bought two different versions on Bandcamp.

It’s like the only thing in Manos that hits just right. Apart from the movie, it’s a lovely mournful bit of cocktail jazz. In the movie, it’s their weird discordant thing that sits at an odd angle to a terrible movie and makes for an eerie last note.

I can’t agree more about “Forgetting You.” It’s like Manos was just Hal Warren’s furious scribbling of random numbers all over a page, and somewhere in that he accidentally wrote the final digits of pi and didn’t even realize it.

Manos. Somehow a less cringe version of Sister Wife’s, that’s more entertaining to watch.
