Having toured the studio during the SciFi days, I can attest that the couch was from the writer’s room and must have returned there after the episode was filmed.

I took pics, but that was well before the digital age and I lost them in a couple of moves since then.
We weren’t allowed to take pics in the writers’ room, though.
