What's Going On at Work?

Aren’t there regulations about when she can work? She is part of a union, yes? I would think this would be the sort of thing that would get her in trouble from an HR standpoint.

Yes she’s part of the union but they do not frown on overtime. I’m not sure of the rules when it comes to holidays but she changes her days off a lot so this looks like yet another day off changed somewhere this coming week.
Unless higher ups say something about it, they don’t seem to care. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Sounds like this woman has a personality disorder of some kind.

She has OCD so that makes it very trying at times to work with her.

Or a temporal/spatial disorder.

Coworker is already badgering me this morning with petty projects that she feels are important but are truly not…
That electrician that came out to work on the main entrance lights almost 2 weeks ago left the plexiglass covers out, leaving the florescent bulbs exposed and 2 bulbs either fell out or were busted out by some punk kids. So i went out there to remove the rest of the bulbs and she tells me to leave them alone that the electrician is supposed to do that… Well, when is he coming back, I asked. She didn’t know. I asked her if she is going to clean up the other broken bulbs when they either fall out or get knocked out? She says no. Then this project takes precedence because it’s a safety hazard! Then she huffs off.
I almost went off on her saying ‘Look, you’re not even supposed to be here! Quit being a bossy pain in the @$$ and go the F home!’ But alas, I’m really trying not to go off on her because of her OCD. The doctor should probably up her meds :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

You don’t have to enable her. Mental illness is an explanation but not an excuse. You have rights too.

I wish I had a barefoot assistant named Stan or Jim to tranq dart people from a helicopter while I navigate my day.

If someone’s especially ornery, he jumps out with a knife in his teeth and hog ties them until I’m out of range.

Day after a holiday… Multiple dead mail trucks from carriers leaving lights on, and several left with no gas in them…
Typical of what these junior carriers leave behind when they have to work a holiday weekend, and the supervisors are just as bad not double checking the vehicles when the carriers bring them back

And the senior PSE (Postal Support Employee) got his foot wrapped up under one of these big BMCs (Bulk Mail Containers) and had to go home. Before he did he signed a waiver not to file a workers comp case which waives the post office of any responsibility…
The guy is limping pretty good where he needed assistance to walk. He’s not too bright and probably screwed himself if the injury turns out to be more severe. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Another followup: Before I left, the PSE was apparently taken to the hospital because of his injury. Now comes the interesting part to see if he’s still able to file a Workers comp claim in lieu of signing the waver to not file…
Pretty sure he’s gonna have to get the union to file on his behalf now.
