Those “Few PM storms” are no helpful. Dry lightning and high wind is the exact opposite of what we’re looking for. (and someone is a bit confused about tomorrow! LOL!)

So… About that tropical disturbance ‘Feature 08L’: It still remains weak and disorganized but still has the potential to intensify to a tropical storm later in the weekend. Maybe when it reaches the southern Bahamas.
After a spell of reasonably normal weather, the heat and humidity have returned. There have been a few spotty showers, but the drought here in northern Virginia continues.
I don’t know if it’s just the right time of day plus weird clouds or the forest fires smoke has reached Indiana or what, but it is orange outside right now. Like the light makes everything orange.
The wave we have been watching has now been designated invest97L, which means we will start to have more specific model runs for this system.
Since it’s stayed weak, it is moving west farther and is more likely to be in the Gulf by early next week. Still, lots of uncertainty,
If our weather forecasters were ever right, we’d be in a drought. Tuesday was supposed to be dry all day, so it rained hard three different times. It’s been hard to plan stuff lately!
So more on invest97L… There’s now a chance it could stall in the northern or eastern gulf.
If this thing really does slow down and hang out for a week or so, the rains it could drop over any coastal areas or inland is going to produce big time flooding!
