The power is still on so we got that

Amost 3 inches of rain today, mostly spread out over half the day so it should have soaked in well. Looking at the graphs on my weather station the last day when rain was spread out over many hours was exactly 2 months ago on July 6th.
Pretty strong signals of extreme rainfall potential are ahead, especially for this coming weekend for the Carolinas…
NOAA NWS Weather Prediction Center has placed the western Carolinas and northeast Georgia in a slight risk for excessive rainfall of up to 4 in estimates. 1.5-2 in for the central areas starting Friday evening
Latest rain estimate totals have been bumped to 4 inches now.
We’re back in drought conditions so if these latest estimates are close to accurate, we’ll be drought-free by next week
Off and on rain all day today with some heavy storms moving in from the south…
Already received maybe an inch so far which we really needed
Pouring rain right now and it’s supposed to rain tomorrow and Monday as well. It was 66 when I got up this morning and the high today was 68. Not a big fluctuation. But that means my apartment is quit pleasant. I have the windows open and I’m just enjoying it.
We’re over the heat wave in my neck of the woods. My cousin up in El Dorado County is facing possible evacuation if the Mosquito fire keeps growing. This is the second year in a row that she’s faced the possibility of losing her home due to wildfires.
That heavy cell dumped on us for a solid 45 minutes.
Flash Flood Advisories issued but no warnings so far
Supposed to rain tomorrow and be 68. I’m glad I went to the outdoor art festival today and not tomorrow.
Ash has been falling from the sky since yesterday.
I hope things turn out okay for your cousin. I have a friend in Sonoma County who had to evacuate 3 times in 5 years. I’m pretty much over California at this point.
On the upside it wasn’t over 100 today, so yay!
Red Sky all day…Sailors go play?
Yeah, I smoke tobacco, but I didn’t start this damned thing.
In fact, I don’t care any more: it’s a regular thing, now, for a few years.
I say smoke 'em if you got 'em, but duck your butts appropriately. Who cares anymore? This land is burning, no two ways about it.
Marshall Sam McCloud isn’t going to come to the rescue, nor is the Chief, nor Joe. Nor Chris.
West coast is going to burn year after year, pretty sure.
It’s been a long time coming folks, but our first blast of Fall air is on the way. Been watching this for 10 days now & it’s all but certain that it’s going to happen. I fully expect some sub 60° readings later this week for many areas across the Southeast.
Currently 59 F and it’s been raining since yesterday afternoon.
It’s actually chilly here today… high of 67, and breezy. Tonight it’s supposed to go down to 42. That’s only 10 degrees above freezing!
Then low 80s again a couple days later, but not for long.
Am I remembering correctly that you haven’t had any hurricanes yet this year? But man, that’s a ton of rain!
It’s been extremely quiet, which makes me extremely nervous. We are entering the peak of the season right now as well.
After 2 1/2 months of hot days leaving nothing but mostly dried-up grass, it finally rained in my area today!!!
Cloudy and a little wet.
Back to you, Trent!
