If we’re talkin’ nurses, let’s hear it for the one in Teenagers From Outer Space. She had some panache, and my penciled-in backstory says she was a WWII vet and wasn’t going to finish life as minced canape for some overgrown crustacean and his road-hog “sponsor.”

Absolutely agree about Sandy. Susan Gordon had a very respectable career outside her father’s films, playing Danny Kaye’s daughter in The Five Pennies, the disabled girl who befriends a FUGITIVE ALIEN in The Twilight Zone, and starring in a live TV production of Miracle on 34th Street, before hanging it up at age 18. Yoko Tani as Sumiko in First Spaceship to Venus is one of my favorites. She was the only useful person on that damn ship…
I also love Eulabelle Moore ad Eulabelle in Horror at Party Beach. She’s the true hero of the film.
