Which is the best female character from a movie?

Someone needed to bring her a higher love.

Now for my picks.

Beverly Garland as Claire in It Conquered The World. Before the artichoke monster kills her she tells it like it is with a shotgun “I’ll see you in hell.”

All of the women in Angel’s Revenge.

I was going to say Ms. Garland in Gunslinger was the first one that popped into my head, but her characters in It Conquered the World and Swamp Diamonds are up there too.

You’re definitely right about Gunslinger, sorry about that!

Beverly is a MST GOAT. The most famous speech from It Conquered the World is Peter Graves’ but Beverly gets the best FU lines to the baddies.

Daisy from Demon Squad
Ayden from The Christmas Dragon

Are the two that come to mind.

I’m probably forgetting a couple…

If it just me or does she have some D’Arcy Carden vibes. Those are good vibes to have.

I don’t know if she was the best, but Salome Jens, the nurse and titular Terror from The Year 5000 was also the leader of the Changelings on DS9.

I wouldn’t have thought of that myself, but I totally see it now that you bring it up.

She also did a superb job as Mae Olinsky on Mary Hartman. A fine actress.

If we’re talkin’ nurses, let’s hear it for the one in Teenagers From Outer Space. She had some panache, and my penciled-in backstory says she was a WWII vet and wasn’t going to finish life as minced canape for some overgrown crustacean and his road-hog “sponsor.” :facepunch:

If we’re talking nurses, let’s talk about the one from The Incredible Melting Man, who would not be stopped by trifles such as condescending doctors, an undignified skin-tight uniform, being chased by a POV monster on rollerblades, or a closed and locked plate-glass door.

Absolutely agree about Sandy. Susan Gordon had a very respectable career outside her father’s films, playing Danny Kaye’s daughter in The Five Pennies, the disabled girl who befriends a FUGITIVE ALIEN in The Twilight Zone, and starring in a live TV production of Miracle on 34th Street, before hanging it up at age 18. Here’s a supercut of her scenes in Tormented: A Tribute to Susan Gordon

Yoko Tani as Sumiko in First Spaceship to Venus is one of my favorites. She was the only useful person on that damn ship…

I also love Eulabelle Moore ad Eulabelle in Horror at Party Beach. She’s the true hero of the film.

I don’t know. The black guy seemed pretty competent. He just got a raw deal.
