Is it just me or is the plot of this movie bonkers close to that of the game ARK? So much so that it makes me wonder if the creators of that particular game have seen this movie.
Aside from that, always nice to see Slab Beefman getting some work.

It wouldn’t be the first riffed stealth ripoff: Girl with the Golden Boots is eerily similar to Showgirls.

The Island is so similar to Parts: The Clonus Horror that they sued. They settled out of court for an undisclosed but large sum of money.

I saw the trailer for this before The Sword and the Sorcerer (NOT recommended) in 1980-something. My brain immediately riffed “ROY! Hunter from the Future.”
I might be wrong, but I don’t think that ROY actually played in any theaters around here.
