Your Monster Hunter team?

During the tribute to Manos, Jonah and the Bots drafted ‘monster hunter’ teams.

The question is, who would you draft, if you could draft a team of monster hunters? Let’s limit it to 5 picks. (And, you know, it might be fun to do a fantasy football style draft for this on the forum).

My Fearsome Fivesome

Carl Kolchak, the Night Stalker
Because I loved the show and the character, and because you need a regular guy who gets things done - he’s an investigative reporter, and has a nose for uncovering secrets.

Milla Jovovich as Alice
Because she kicks-ass, especially as Alice in 3D in the Resident Evil series. She gives us athleticism, strategy and a full arsenal to help combat our monsters.

Captain Kronos, Vampire Hunter
I figure once we get far into the draft, heavy hitters like Van Helsing will be out of the running, however, if you dig deep enough, you can find able replacements. Plus, I’m a Hammer fan, and he comes with some helpful assistants.

Hellboy
I doubt I can get Milla and Hellboy in the same draft, but I can dream. We need a monster to fight monsters. He’s strong and well trained in supernatural and demonic combat.

Elsa Bloodstone
The daughter of Ulysses, she was born to fight monsters. Elsa was in Nextwave, and she’s cooler than her pops, so she’s on the team.

Hunters in reserve: Bloody Mallory, Warrior Nun, Ash

As for Christopher Lee, he often played the baddie - the hunted rather than the hunter, but there are exceptions. One of my favorite Lee heroes was Duc de Richleau in The Devil Rides Out

He’d be a welcome addition to any team.

As for Hammer, who would be on the All-Hammer Squad?

Van Helsing of course, de Richleau, and Kronos were mentioned… Quatermass, sure. But who’d be the 5th?

Holmes and Watson (from their version of Baskervilles) would be great, or maybe occult novelist John Verney (To the Devil a Daughter). I’d also suggest Professor Zimmer, Father Sandor, and Sir James Forbes as candidates.
