Well that might actually convince them to take in their bloody patio furniture and pick up the kids toys in the yard.
Yes, I’ve lived in hurricane country and some people really don’t understand the concept that anything can turn into a lethal weapon if the winds are high enough.

We live right next to what basically amounts to a retirement community, are right in the (possible) path of the storm, and are literally the only ones in the neighborhood who have bothered to board up the windows and bring things inside. Except maybe those neighbors down the hill who looked like they were taking a couple solar panels inside. It’s quite maddening.
My guess is either the people around us have NO clue, or they’re waiting to see what happens and there’s going to be a manic amount of activity in the next 24-36 hours.
