Speculation: What's The End Goal of Pearl's Story?

If there were, we haven’t heard about them.

I think the last time that the Nanites came into play was when they had their circus in Gorgo and Mike flattened a bunch of them with pocket change (although they could repair themselves, apparently).

Pretty much, yeah. They just vanished after Season 9 along with Magic Voice.

From what I recall, the Nanites were largely phased out mostly because the writers felt they no longer had good ideas, so they just ceased mentioning them. Perhaps it can be assumed they work for Gypsy version 1.0

Right, so, Pearl speculation, so? Right.

One of the mission patches in the Kickstarter rewards was blurred, seemingly because it depicts a character who isn’t Joel, Mike, Jonah, or Emily.

One of the live event tickets shown during the Kickstarter lists the premiere of Kinga and Max re-riffing Mr. B Natural, as hinted at the end of Season 12. This was concept art, and hard to say how seriously we should take it.

There has been a mention floated that an old short is getting a re-riff. Seems to support the idea of bringing back Mr. B.

During the Quest of the Delta Knights watch party, there was naturally some conversation about the fact that Pearl was in the theater for the first segment, and I believe that sparked some sort of conversation about having the Mads in the theater generally.

I vaguely recall some sort of interview where Felicia talked about the next season and would not comment about whether she would be doing any riffing or not. Not a solid confirmation, but naturally it makes one speculate.

Purely as a matter of speculation? I think there’s going to be some sort of surprise where Kinga and Max end up doing a riff. It might just be a re-riff of Mr. B, or there could be a plotline where they end up in the SOL for a proper episode.

But how does this relate to Pearl? Well, who else would be running the show if Kinga and Max were test subjects for a day? I’m still not sure what Pearl’s game is, if she’s sincere about wanting to reconnect with Kinga or if it’s just a front for some other goal, but I think part of it is going to be Pearl taking control and giving Kinga and Max a taste of their own medicine. Whether it’s to force Kinga to finally spend time with her, or whether her entreaties for affection are just a front for her real goal of seizing the moon base, or whether there’s some third thing going on.

I wouldn’t be surprised, 's all I’m saying.

Hmm…

It would be fun to see the actual riff of Mr. B done by Kinga and Max (even if Kinga’s hair is different), just to have it be a version that doesn’t cut footage like the original riff (I know Rifftrax did one with it but still).

Or hell, even do a call-back and have it be a Mirror Kinga and Max.

Here’s my speculation on Kinga’s hair. After riffing Mr. B. Natural, once Kinga and Max blew up Moon 13 (along with 14, and maybe 15), K’s hair disintigrated, so she got a fresh new haircut afterwards. Max on the other hand didn’t change. Not even a single scratch.

With some direction and help from Dr. Kabahl (is that how we’re spelling it now – or in the future?) Kinga will bring back additional Pearls, one from the past and one from the future to bring to fruition . . . The Pearlpocalypse!

Multiple Pearls, you say?

My burning question about Pearl is - did she murder Clayton again the second time through the time loop?

Hey, we’ve all been there.

Nah, she just talked her Season 7/pre Season 8 self into doing so, hence the ever slight personality change (and the look change) in her.

…and Mr. B. (aka Bridget) will lead them all in a rendition of “String Of Pearls”? (oh please oh pleeeeease…)

That’s something I never understood. Episode with Nana Pearl in a hospital bed Dr. F drank something and collapsed. In a different episode, and referenced in the Netflix era, Dr. F turned into a star baby.
A) Nana Pearl raised Dr. F again, and I guess that’s why she’s a grandmother now. It’s been enough time I think from Sci-fi era for it to be probable. Not everyone waits until they’re a legal adult to have children if it’s not. Assuming 20 year difference between generations. NP was 20 when Dr. F was born. Dr. F was in his 20s when he died. NP in her 40s. She raises him again. (Dr. F is 20, NP in her 60s.) Kinga is 18 at Moon 13. Okay, this makes their final ages: NP (78ish), Dr. F (38), & Kinga (18). [*I’m calling the character, not Mary Jo, 78ish.] It’s possible for all of this crazy calculating to work. My own nana was in her 70s when the last of the grandchildren were born. Mine was still capable at that time. I’m sure that there’s a Rejuvenation Chamber for mad scientists. Nothing lasts forever. The youth wears off, maybe a little faster each time. (Reference to the movie Pan) This is why Nana Pearl is feeling her age. That was long.

B) Timey-Wimey Bendy-Wendy. Take an aspirin & Neil De Grasse Tyson will babble it to you. :face_with_head_bandage:

C) It’s just a show. I should really just relax. :roll_eyes:Like that will ever happen.

Welllll…

Pearl said that “when she died”, she had herself frozen, and she woke up in 2525 to find that apes had taken over the world. Which is kind of similar to a procedure referenced in…

Time of the Apes! Near the beginning of the movie, they talk about a cryogenic procedure which not only freezes and preserves the body but actually reverses the effects of aging.

So that’s my headcanon for any weird discrepancies in Pearl’s age. She was frozen that one time.

Yep. She was frozen and Mike and the bots were ethereal energy for a few centuries… but then the time warp at the end of season 8 brought them back to the end of the 20th Century, where they remained for the rest of the original run.

I think Pearl is up to something this season. In Munchie, Pearl tries to convince Kinga to spend quality time together. Kinga is dismissive and states she is not into scrapbooking. “You will be…” says Pearl, to which Kinga replies “That sounded ominous.”

In Gamera vs. Jiger, Pearl has convinced Kinga to leave the SOL in the incapable hands of Max so they can go on a trip together, and we’ve yet to see what disaster that will bring.

Someone said in an earlier forum that relegating Mary Jo Pehl to the role of dutiful grandmother is a waste of her considerable talent, and I have to say I agree. Maybe I’m reaching, but it would be fun to see her turn back into the manipulative Pearl we know and love. If she tried to take the SOL from Kinga, it would be an interesting power dynamic and storyline. What are your thoughts?

You know what? I was also thinking the exact same thing

Something ain’t right here.

Let’s not forget that there’s two clones of Pearl on the Moon right now. Max doesn’t stand a chance.

I suspect this is a way to allow Synthia and Mega-Synthia to take over as Mads for a little while, which would be cool.

she is 1000000% scheming at something

I have to admit that at first the Season 13 Pearl was a bit unsettling. I missed the old Pearl from the SciFi channel days.

Then I started to appreciate the older, needy, feeling her mortality and trying desperately to form a bond with her only surviving progeny Pearl. When she asked Joel if Clayton ever mentioned her or Kinga, it was kind of sad.

Although as has been pointed out, she seems to be up to… something.
