The Story Behind Your Onscreen or Real Name

My dad claims when he saw it in the theater he started laughing at that scene and didn’t stop until the movie was over.

I sit amid penguins and knit, and knit, and knit.
Also, it is a Riff on an inside joke, between my best friend and myself, from a billionty years ago.
My first, and middle, names are family names.
There has always been a girlchild named with these names, on my father’s side of the family.
For a couple of hundred years, I think.
I believe that I am the the 5th incarnation of the name.

Screen name comes from an old Harry Enfield sketch where he was dressed as an old man and would see people doing stuff and say “ you don’t want to do it like that you want …” and one sketch was him saying you should use a different paint like an azure blue or an oak funnel etc. my last name is Funnell and it stuck.

My real name was my mum wanting to call me Saul (my older brothers were both s names) and my dad wanting to go a different way so the compromise was Paul, which was so common at the time there were three others in my class at school but now it’s fallen out of favour I like it.

The name is short for “The World’s Most Interesting Werewolf”. This classy lycanthrope was supposed to be one of the hosts of the “Full Moon Manor”, a Philadelphia based horror host show.

The show never got into full production, but I have a lot of fun memories of pre-production, script writing and development. Still have a lot of fun photos from the costume design and proof of concept.

Just always found it so cute whenever Pearl called Crow “Art”!

Ya know I heard that was based on a letter someone wrote in once and called Crow Art and the crew ran with it.

Correct. The fan letter was at the end of Giant Gila Monster and it was probably because Crow was introduced as “Art Crow” during a Honeymooners sketch during Jungle Goddess.

DigiRangerScott is my Pokemon Go username, and on Twitch with a 94 attached. DigiRanger1994 was my longtime Twitter account until about 2 years ago, tragically.

Where did DigiRanger come from? When Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger was announced, the community was coming up with their own Sentai names, scoffing at the fact they were doing another dino season. and I came up with Compu Sentai DigiRanger, figuring a new tech-themed season would give Power Rangers a chance to keep such thing when adapting it (since Megaranger was turned into In Space). I had renamed from MetGiant1994 (for Mets, Giants) because I was being inundated with follows from porny accounts and suspected the username was why.

Online: Just thought it made for a good superhero name.

In real life: I have a first name and two middle names and my mother, father and sister each provided one.

Online: There’s a phenomenon we don’t really understand called sonoluminescence where sound makes light and I thought it was pretty neat scientifically, but also sounded rad.

Real Life: My dad was pretty popular with gals and my mom had a hard time finding a name that wasn’t the same as someone he had hooked up with.

Hey, me, too.

We almost let my son name his younger sister.

She was almost Rainbow Unicorn Viper.

When we asked our son, who was 2 at the time, what we should name his little sister, his reply was “Waffle.”

Awww.

Wait, he loved waffles, right?

This wasn’t because he hated waffles…that could get dark…
