Favorite of the Gizmoplex Vault Picks: Round 3

I’ve never thought Megalon was all that funny, aside from the host segments. We all have our tastes, I mean, there’s someone on this very forum who doesn’t think that highly of Werewolf, go figure

Finished with Shrews, and it was pretty funny, kind of like Werewolf in that you get a lot of laughs out of the way characters pronounce things.

One thing I always enjoyed about the Joel episodes… the warm family connection. Here, pops comforts the traumatized kids.

I like the little kiss he plants on the top of Toms head

aw, that’s sweet.

I’m glad to see Gamera starting to climb up. Gamera is a seminal one for me. It introduced the whole concept of the “Kenny”. It’s got some of my favorite jokes. “I told you to WATER the plant!” “I vote Red Dot.”

But mainly, you get to see a robot…sing a love…to a turtle.

Shout out to all the people who voted Gamera has their favorite. I watched it immediately after the live premiere for Santo and that episode still is amazing.

But yeah, it’s Werewolf.

I’m wondering if one of these times we will get a slate of not great but not horrible episodes. Maybe get us talking about some of the unsung episodes.

My forgotten black and white darlings: The Rebel Set and The Amazing Transparent Man.

The first two-thirds of BoftE are tough for me to focus on. SO. MUCH. PADDING. But once they hit Chicago and there’s grasshoppers falling off postcards and hooked up to lie detectors, it’s just INCREDIBLE! I feel like the team itself really perks up, too and the giggles are relentless.

Poor Audrey/Peggie, though. She starts out a crucial part of the movie but at that point she’s just arm-candy for Dr. Bland. [sigh]

Hey!! :hand_with_index_finger_and_thumb_crossed: = = Wait ONE MINUTE! How in the name of Ludlow, California can you have a collection called Pesky Critters and NOT include The Girl In Gold Boots?! :scream_cat:

I… have… no fandom. :sob:
