Huh. I didn’t realize Lizz Winstead was a contemporary of the BBI team. I always liked her comedy.

She was a guest on The Mads one month and they talked about that a bit, but I can’t recall which month/show that was.

That’s pretty cool, nice find.

I spotted Joe Keyes, I remember them throwing out the name in riffs and wondering who they were referencing at the time. (Found out later the connection)

Jim Mallon in a couple of interviews noted that the 15 Minutes parody he did with Kevin Murphy in 1987, which featured Murphy interviewing real politicians about a fake story, plays much like a Daily Show piece and wondered if Winstead was inspired by it for her later work, since she may have seen the piece while living in the area.
