There is still what seems to be an official website for Cinematic Titanic, at cinematictitanic.com. I don’t know if it’s still in the hands of the creators. It seems to have some vague movie-related content on it, and a FAQ that seems reasonably honest. However, it also has a prominent link in its header to an app with a name that I can’t report here without setting off the profanity filter.
It’s not a good look, and it makes me wonder if the site has been taken over by nefarious interests, who are trying to stay under the radar by making it appear like the site is still in the creators’ hands, and are using the good name of Cinematic Titanic to promote their odious hookup app.
Would anyone reading this be able to get in contact with the owners and check on the site?
It appears that someone has just purchased the expired domain and slapped some generic movie-related content on it to make it look like a real site, but the whole point is most likely to drive traffic to the questionable link. The registration details are private, unfortunately.
That is entirely possible. I remember Cinematic Titanic mainly toured, though there were DVD’s sold as .iso files (legitimately) through an online vendor, who at one point, lost the inventory somehow. That was prior to Shout!
Since you mentioned it, I did a trademark search for Cinematic Titanic and it appears that it’s no longer active; the cancelation notice was on 1/4/2019. Checks out with the website being neglected.
