Well, in the comic the character of John Dee is basically just a psycho sadist who forces the diner patrons to degrade and torture themselves and others solely for his amusement. As played by David Thewlis he is a FAR more interesting character. I think the Netflix series is improved a great deal by not having to shoehorn into the DC Universe like the comic did in its early days. John Dee was the supervillain Doctor Destiny, so his personality was pretty much set already.

I’d love to have easy access to Wellington Paranormal, doesn’t seem to be streaming in the UK - not last time I checked anyway. I downloaded a couple of episodes to see how I liked it but I don’t think I want to rip the whole thing off, I’m trying not to do that anymore.
