You ought to check out the 11’ 8” bridge videos. There have been some truly spectacular roof peels over the years.
The bridge was raised 8” a few years ago to 12’ 4” so the incidence of new accidents has dropped considerably, but they still happens periodically.

I used to work in an office with a great view of a low overpass. At least once or twice a year we’d get to see a tractor trailor imitate a sardine can.
We theorized that the street was paved several times without the posted bridge clearance ever being re-calculated and posted.

Right at the edge of the University of Louisville (my school), by the Engineering buildings, is what is called the Louisville Can Opener. I remember at least once a semester doing classes and hearing a great CRUUOAKAUUESSH as another truck thought it was small enough…
