Really? I think that might be one of the more sensible moments in that movie. Appalling to witness, yes. But also more logic-bound than whatever the hell the whole drug-smuggling biz was about.

Could have been worse. He would have died before his 2nd term if he had won. At least we were spared bad movies. Collateral Damage and End of Days showed he’d peaked.
